“The Art of Aging: Celebrating the Authentic Aging Self” – by Alice & Richard Matzkin A couple, both artists, take a penetrating look at aging through a series of projects that confront their fear and curiosity about growing old. They explore physical changes, sensuality and relationships, aging parents, spirituality and death. Drawing on their personal experiences and the wisdom of older mentors, they conclude that their elder years can be a time of ripening and harvest rather than stagnation and despair. The profusely illustrated book contains a wealth of inspiration, especially for those about to enter old age. THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting! I’m the only one I know personally who has this viewpoint of aging. Everyone else I’ve ever known has a negative view of it, buys into the “anti-aging” illusion, and feels badly whenever they see a new line or gray hair. When I see a new gray hair or new line, I actually get tickled pink, lol. THANK YOU for posting, because it’s wonderful to find people, even on a YouTube video – who share my p.o.v.

I’m a mortician by profession and have always tried to tell people to love every minute in life regardless of the negative because you will never have that minute again, so just smile.

Powerful presentation. Indeed, beauty comes in all shapes, forms, colors, and ages…despite what pop cultures would have one to think. Whe should celebrate the beauty of life in all of it’s forms. Thanks for sharing :) Tonya C.

How Divinely inspired! It is good to get old…to be old. I know. The alternative does not breathe…the inanimate art does. Your words have power and wisdom and your eyes are mirrors… A wonderful work. Thank You.

What a beautiful short film about the very beautiful book newly created by the most romantic couple I know. Richard and Alice live in love . . . for life, for their work, and for each other. The Art of Aging so well represents the Matzkins’ courage in embracing the aging process that is the culmination–and can be the triumph–of human life.

i use most of the stuff u talk about except for the moisturizer cuz from my experience i have found that no matter what kind of moisturizer i use from cheap drugstore to high end, my skin always beaks out :( or it gets even oiler. So i just use a moisturizing toner…

  27. tepajdawb on June 13th, 2010 8:31 am

thanks for showing some of the products you use. i never thought much about skin care because i don’t use makeup that much so soap or noxzema is what i usually use but just recently with my interest in makeup going into high gear, i’ve learned that no matter what, skin care is important. this is actually the first time i’ve heard of toner etc. etc. i’ve been looking around and testing things out to find out what works but never knowing the actual steps/order so thank you for doing this. :)

  28. seek34 on June 13th, 2010 9:21 am

Hi u have beautiful skin, u asked about any good masks. I gave up on store brand masks i think they have too much alcohol. I just did a Yogurt mask (Yogurt, oatmeal and jojoba oil) mixed all really good applied left 10 min, it brightened my skin and moisturize it and its Cheap with no alcohol!!! ]
Mashed Banana with honey is great too!!!!

  40. Fiyeroni on June 13th, 2010 3:03 pm

just use a plastic spatula. such as one that you would use to mix cream bleach to make it more sanitary.

  44. laffytaffy2 on June 13th, 2010 5:37 pm

I also use cetaphil, i like how it is very moisturizing and the tube does last a very long time. I like how it is also sold at costco so I can get everything there.
