Can you answer ROBYN MARIE’s question about Anti-Aging?:
my boyfriend, i might marry him, but says i have under eye wrinkles, its from menopause i think & lack of sleep, im not sure if i should add this to marriage & divorce category, but i will anyway, is there any home made stuff to use? i heard lemon juice & honey? right now i use Noxzema every night, been using it for 12 years now, what should i change to? im middle age.

Anti-Aging Feedback: Noxema might be too harsh for you now. Go to the dept. store to the Estee Lauder counter. She will help you.
Anti-Aging Feedback: I heard Ponds cold cream is good,
you could Take a wash cloth & rub lemon juice on your face, my sister does, It kinda makes it a better glo & feels soft, not sure about wrinkles tho,
Anti-Aging Feedback: Almond oil is great, just pat it lightly under the eye.
Also if you can get Neutrogena’s intensive eye moisture (at any drug store) it’s cheap and effective
Anti-Aging Feedback: Preparation H, ironically.
Anti-Aging Feedback: You don’t say what kind of wrinkles, Hon….
Listen, and this comes from a gal who is almost 56 and doing the menopause thing too…..those hot flashes/night sweats suck, don;t they..and constant waking up every 2-3 hours for no good reason?
I’m lucky..so far no wrinkles but I 1 never smoked 2 rarely drink, 3 never sunbathed (white irish skin burns & freckles) and my Mom looks far younger than her 78 years so I got her good genes….
But sometimes the eyes just look tired, ya know?
I like slices of chilled cucumber…..one on each eyelid and put your head back for a few….and also, save used tea bags-moisten slightly with cool water and pop one on each eye..the acid peculiar to tea works wonders…..when you do apply lotion, massage in from outer corner to inner corner, not from inner to outer….that helps smooth out the skin-and always apply lotion to slightly dampened skin—-lotion seals in moisture, it doesn’t add moisture.
…I love good old Noxema…wash my face with it, moisturize with it..howevr I hear Oil of Olay has exellent products for eye ‘care’…check it out….and never ever sleep with make-up, especially eye make-up.
Are you hydrated enough? You might be slightly dehydrated-make sure you get plenty of fluids-caffeine can dehydrate so go easy on it, diet sodas can dehydrate you too, so can alchohol so use in moderation…good old water is best…add drinks rich in anti-oxidants to your diet..think green tea..it’ll boost your immune system and you can use the tea bags on your eyes! lol
Think power naps…teach yourself to cat nap at least once during the day for -15 to 20 minutes..it helps your entire system to re-charge
Set aside at least 30 minutes of at the end of the day for me time….right before bedtime is perfect..it helps you unwind…
get a set bedtime routine..it helps. remove distractions. I found the t.v. my hubby leaves on in the bedroom all night was waking me up every hour…t.v OFF now and I sleep far better….and he has a real night light (his excuse to leave it on) to guide him to the bathroom should he need it)
Wear simple layers at bedtime….so when the Flash hits you can remove excess layers…I love knit cotton night gowns….other materials are awful when night sweats hit…ick.
and as far as what your BF says…so what? Is HIS face perfect? If he wants smooth & flawless, tell him to go ‘boff’ a marble statue…you’ve got ‘laugh lines’ Toots…be proud of who you are and all your Life Experiences….and good luck!
