Rukiya Jeffers, Licensed Esthetician & Owner Abebi Beauty Boutique & Spa: Women of color tend to have thicker skin that is oilier and we suffer from hyper pigmentation. A chemical peel can help to control these skin issues. Products used on the skin after are more effective because the peel allows for better product penetration. www.makeupandbeauty.ie … My blog for daily beauty updates http …Twitter Profound skincare the doctors collection advanced performance glycolic cleanser. Distributed by profound skincare Ireland, made in the USA. I bought mine in Slender Health Beauty Salon in Dublin. This particular product can only be sold by professionals because it has such a high percentage of glycolic acid(it doesn’t state what percentage on the box as it’s not sold commercially. I would suggest that you see a dermatologist if you want to try a similar product, as any glcolic acid product you can buy online will not not be the same strength and will not provide dramatic results. @dollazndiamondz black people also tend to have more acne and more oily skin

  2. MiamiPush2theLimit on September 15th, 2010 10:35 pm

@mikeyjames This is an anti-aging peel. It has nothing to do with “dark skin” or the “white mans plans”

  3. abebibeauty on September 15th, 2010 10:55 pm

Just be sure to use plenty of sunscreen always once you get a peel!

This is a classic peel. It does wonders for my skin and yes, I am African American with oily skin. This treatment is great for acne, removing dark spots and antiaging is an added benefit because of the deep exfoliation and renewal of your skin. BTW, I am currently researching peels with a shorter down time so be on the lookout!

i guess you cannot do anything when you face is healing. It looks GORGEOUS

  8. mikeyjames on September 16th, 2010 1:40 am

wtf..i love my dark skin..this stuff is not for me…weak minded individuals fall right into white mans plans

  9. Kufukahn on September 16th, 2010 2:00 am

    Still a negro.

  10. bobfryfish on September 16th, 2010 2:59 am

It’s well know than Black skin ages more gracefully where wrinkles aren’t prevalent but of course sagging is experienced. You can even ask dermatologists. Also, Black skin or dark skin types have a higher built in SPF to protect against the sun than lighter complected people. And we all know the sun ages the skin at a faster rate.

Anyway, is this video for real? HmmmM…

  11. Stillalive1991 on September 16th, 2010 3:21 am

Her face almost had no acne or scars !! why did she peel?

  12. Stillalive1991 on September 16th, 2010 4:00 am

@bittersylence1 Retard. Go back to your trailer.

  13. bittersylence1 on September 16th, 2010 4:47 am

    nigs. fucking apes

  14. ScienceProjek on September 16th, 2010 5:34 am

@Rayrockny Well… They say the demons are in church, So I guess that would be me.

  15. Rayrockny on September 16th, 2010 5:45 am

@ScienceProjek you are really a scumbag to say such things. How you are you going to sit there and be listening to “Jennifer Holliday Let Jesus Love You” in your recent activity and turn around and write shit like this? I want to see what your ugly ass looks like.. And You think Jesus love’s you? I doubt it!

  16. ladyheiress on September 16th, 2010 5:50 am

cant this chemical peel be dangerous……youre peeling off layers of skin. unless you have deep scars i wouldnt get this to hide aging signs, you can prevent again signs before they show by a good skin car routine!

  17. ladyheiress on September 16th, 2010 5:56 am

@ScienceProjek well they hav had work done and mary j used to have drug problms which speeds up aging.

  18. soufwesthoustontx on September 16th, 2010 6:25 am

They need to make another video & update this showing how her skin looks today!

  19. dudewaitewhat on September 16th, 2010 6:28 am

i’ve learned tht this isn’t for color. boy do i feel dumb lol. does this hurt? do u peel it at home or return everyday?

  20. dizbarbie on September 16th, 2010 7:25 am

wow that really does work but it all takes time

  21. Jujyreign on September 16th, 2010 8:08 am

I wonder if men get this service done? I am interested but uncertain awell, after watching the video.

  22. dollazndiamondz on September 16th, 2010 8:39 am

@ScienceProjek You are right, it is like looking at and ugly baby. LOL.

  23. ScienceProjek on September 16th, 2010 9:28 am

@dollazndiamondz “Aging Gracefully” and “Beauty” are two completely different things. I’ve seen people in their 50’s that look like they’re in their 30’s, But what good is it if you’re nothing to look at to begin with???… You look so young but you look like my dog.

  24. ScienceProjek on September 16th, 2010 10:18 am

@xxXFuckUrLifeXxx Exactly… It’s about your own genetics, It has nothing to do with skin color. I’ve seen many old looking darker skinned people aswell as lighterskin, It’s just genetics. Also, Just because you look “Young” doesn’t mean you’re “Gorgeous”… Those are two completely different words. I’ve seen some very young looking people that look like dogs, Looking at them they look like anybody else in a younger age group, It’s just until they mention their age that it’s a shock.

  25. ScienceProjek on September 16th, 2010 11:00 am

@haweye79 Well what’s up with Mary J Blige, Vivica Fox & Monica. They’re black is most definitely cracking.

  26. hyperbull on September 16th, 2010 11:23 am

    does it work on freckles?

  27. lrigyrtnuocyelyah on September 16th, 2010 11:52 am

would it work for blackheads because ive used everythin to try and get rid of them and nothin as yet has worked

  28. hipretty on September 16th, 2010 12:04 pm

You are so pretty! Your skin looks flawless! Thank you for this review…it is probably just in Ireland…not sure if it a brand in the States.

  29. totallyaddicted2mac on September 16th, 2010 12:55 pm

does it irritate your skin? i have sensitive skin but i want to get rid of my acne scars and this sounds like a good product

  30. MsDolly20 on September 16th, 2010 1:29 pm

ive had this problem recently, and hated being without my makeup because of it. id tried bio oil but it did not help that much. imgoing to research this product to see where i can get it. thank you

  31. fabiosbranco1 on September 16th, 2010 1:55 pm

Well, I think I’m kind of late leaving a post here, but I simply LOVED the video. My skin has the same “smal problems” that you told your’s had. I’m tired of exfoliating and having no good results. I’m Brazilian, and in my city, Curitiba, we dont have the ocean nearby, and it’s the coldest capital of Brazil, so I have no problem with the Sun, or with the salty air, meaning: I can use this kind of product and not worry about using tons of sunblocker. Thank you very much! @fabbranco

  36. allybabe84 on September 16th, 2010 6:05 pm

@libertyparker I’ve got the sebum clearing masque, gentle cream exfoliant and the overnight clearing gel, plus the cleanse/tone/moisturise routine, so far so good!!

  37. libertyparker on September 16th, 2010 6:18 pm

@allybabe84 Oh awesome hun, I hope you like them. I’m sure you will see results! What did you get? I use the dermal clay cleanser, daily microfoliant and over night clearing gel and I love them all…I haven’t tried much else yet apart from some small samples. I hope you love them!!

  38. allybabe84 on September 16th, 2010 6:55 pm

@libertyparker so got my face mapping done the whole thing, and got my dermalogica products (6 in all, so 2 were free) , going back for another facial in 4 weeks, will look a million dollars soon I hope!!

  39. morphidae on September 16th, 2010 7:36 pm

You can get it on ebay there are some sellers that ship worldwide I got mine for like… 15 dollars (including shipping) but always do a little research on the reliability of the seller so you get quality stuff ;)

  40. libertyparker on September 16th, 2010 8:16 pm

@allybabe84 Ah great, I hope you like it and it works for you too. 3 for 2 is great! Happy days! :)

  41. allybabe84 on September 16th, 2010 8:53 pm

@libertyparker thanks I rang up my local hair and beauty salon and I’m booked in on Sat for face mapping and a dermalogica facial, they have an offer of 3 for the price of 2 on the derma products so I’ll see how I get on :)

  42. libertyparker on September 16th, 2010 9:46 pm

Hey…sorry to jump in on your question hun. Just wanted to let you know that I have been using Dermalogica products for almost a year now and have seen a great improvement in my skin so if you’re not sure about the line I really do recommend it :) x

  43. allybabe84 on September 16th, 2010 9:52 pm

I suffer from breakouts on my chin too, and have noticed a different texture there, so I emailed Slender about this product but unfortunately they dont seem to stock it anymore, the alternatives recommended by them are Dermalogica or Thalgo products which they do stock. Ive never used either so just wondering if you have tried them?

  44. ariensophie on September 16th, 2010 9:57 pm

  47. dazzledust25 on September 17th, 2010 12:19 am

I’m afraid it doesn’t say on the packaging the percentage as it is sold through professionals only who do the sales and safety spiel. Sorry

  48. 01fey on September 17th, 2010 1:18 am

I’d like to know the exact percentage of Glycolic Acid in this product please? You don’t seem to mention it.
